mini-sessions
As a mom of two young boys, I know how fast time passes. I want to remember every smile, every smirk, and every hug. I offer portraits for families, seniors and couples to tell your story and freeze time, and provide you with artistic & authentic photos to display on your walls.
the process
1. Book Your Session:
Contact me to sign up for a mini-session.
Sign a contract & pay $250 retainer fee to reserve your time on a designated mini session date.
*This fee is for the session only
2. Choose Your Collection:
Choose your collection. Your final payment is due 7 days prior to your session.
but first...why professional prints?
Would you buy an expensive steak from a 5 star restaurant but ask them to give it to you raw to save money, and then bring it to McDonald's and ask them to cook it? If not, then why pay for a five-star photography experience and for me to professionally edit your photos, just to take it to a teenager at Target to print at a machine that distorts the colors, sharpness and overall quality... see what I mean? There is a better option.
If you are working with me, you obviously care a lot about quality and are willing to invest in high-quality photography. I edit each and every photo meticulously, and I want you to have professional print options so that you can have printed photos that retain their color, clarity and overall quality.
What should we expect?
THE VIBE:
I focus on authentic personalities, genuine connections and real smiles. This may mean that everyone isn't always looking and smiling directly at the camera, and that is more than ok with me. As a mom myself, my favorite photos with my family are the ones where we are looking and smiling at each other. I love to help pose you in ways that allow you or your family to interact naturally with both me and with each other. My goal is to make the experience fun and I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to make everyone feel comfortable.
OUTDOOR MINIS:
I like to shoot at locations that are kid-friendly/safe with reduced distractions and lots of options.
STUDIO LIFESTYLE SESSIONS:
These are held at my studio in Westminster Maryland. This is also the rain plan for outdoor minis.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Be YOU. Be bold! Step away from the match-matchy stuff. Consider comfort, style and limitations of the location, and weather! Dress to impress but also stay comfortable! I am here to help and I'm happy to give advice on what does and doesn't photograph well.
SESSION AVAILABILITY:
Mini sessions are only held two or three times a year and are scheduled for specific dates and locations.
